Met with Nick Sale, Richard Gardener and Paul Thomas at GRC at 6.00 and left for West Bay.
This was Nicks choice for our excercise. Parked in The Station car park and were soon heading thru the gravel pits to make the climb up East Cliff on our way to Freshwater. Have not walked this one yet and pleased to say i just made it.Chance to recover running alongside the golf course. Dropped down and thru Freshwater caravan park Up we went again. Brain went hazy with the altitude but think i walked up a lot of uneven height steps. Along and down again into Burton Bradstock.
This is nice i thought, then another major climb. Later came down and onto the rear of Chesil Beach and grass. After being spoilt with solid ground we were then on the shingle beach. What a leg killer that is. We thought it would be sensible ( Nick being sensible) we would turn at at the 5 mile point. This we did and generally followed the route back other than me taking the others on a detour around Freshwater caravan park. We took a few photo shots on the way. Weather was perfect for the run.Had good vision throughout with the power of our torches. Back in town around 9.30. Looking forward to the next one.
Clive.
