My appeal for runners worked with 7 members taking part in this month's Merriott Handicap. Coming in first with a new PB was Paul Thomas in a time of 28:09. Well done Paul, you'll soon break that 28 minute mark. Second was Dave Carnell, running 29 seconds faster than predicted, great running Dave. Everyone ran well, all finishing within 1 minute of their predicted time. Elliott Perrin took part in his first handicap and finished with a very respectable time (and didn't make me look too bad with my prediction!). Good to see Ed taking part after being out of action with illness, thanks for accepting your predicted time even if you knew you could not get near it. It won't be long before you're back to race pace.
