Coronation Social Run and Get-together

We are planning a running club social event for Crewkerne Running Club members and their partners and families. This will be held in the garden at Roger and Linda’s house ( directions to follow ), Fingers crossed the weather is sunny! The event is to be held on Sunday 7^th May instead of the usual Sunday club run.

It is hoped that members will bring partners and families. With the number of club members increasing this will be a great opportunity for all members, longstanding and new, young and old, to meet and socialise and get to know each other better. There will be a very social run for members who wish to take part starting at approximately 10.30am and it is planned that whilst members are out on the run any children and others left behind can take part in organised fun games ( not compulsory ).

Following the run and games it is proposed we will enjoy some food together – currently we have a donation from Ben Adams of a huge Turkey ( more like an Ostridge ! ) that Linda has kindly offered to cook and produce turkey rolls / baps and although it is not at all compulsory it is hoped that some of those attending will bring a plate of food to share. , For those who are able to stay, after lunch we may even play some silly games! If you only wish to come for lunch or perhaps just the run please do so it will be great to see you, about 12.00 – 12.30ish would probably be a good time to get there for the lunch. It is planned that everyone attending ( members and their families / partners ) will receive a commemorative coronation medal.

Because the engraved medals have to be ordered in good time we do need to know as soon as possible how many people will be coming both for the morning and only for the run / lunch and therefore could you please indicate on the club facebook event page whether you intend to come and if so how many will be in your group. Please can you comment if you plan to come by the end of March so the engraved medals can be ordered in time. If you decide after that date that you would like to come along that’s great you will be very welcome but possibly we won’t have a medal for you.
