This is not a race but a training run that people can take at their o wn pace confident in the knowledge that there are drinks available at appr opriate distances and if they get into difficulties they can get a ride ba ck to the car park. This is an event which CRC likes to extend an invitati on to everyone to come and enjoy and\, hopefully\, benefit from. The event has been run since 1989\, it starts and finishes at  the splendid North Perrott Cricket Club Pavilion located in Willis Lane\ , North Perrott\, TA18 7SU.  For those who don't fancy  the full 10k the re is a shorter option Fun Run of approx. 6k (1 lap). The 6K will be a tot al fun run with no prizes but full results will be published. Minimum age for both events is 15 years or older.\n\nThe Cricket Club has excellent fa cilities with parking\, changing and showers. The bar will be open and BBQ food will be available. Traditionally many people stay on after the race for a drink and some food and to catch up with other runners.\n\nThis race was first organised in 1989 making this the 34th year after missing the 2 020 race due to coronavirus.\n\nThere is an antique solid silver cup dated 1908 which will have the winners name engraved but sadly has become far t oo valuable to be handed out. The circular route is 22 miles long and open to anyo ne. All details below \nThe club are holding another Pre-London long run starting and finishing at the David Hall in South Petherton. There are wat er stations along the route and toilet facilities available at the David H all. Please note there is no medical cover so anyone taking part does so a t their own risk.
