Well that was an exceptional turnout for the club handicap. More runners than I have seen for many years. Probably because you realised that the times given you were so generous. Tracy and Hilary first away then the procession started after them. I was doing marshalling duties when Rich Blackmore turned up with the request that I run with Alex. Oh look says I, he is right in front of me running with 3 others. Warm clothes off and after them. Just Alex and I at Lopen Head as he was steaming along. I stayed a little behind him as I have been accused on more than one occasion of pacing runners. We closed down on Lisa and Lauren and I said to Alex go straight past them. He sprinted away. Got back to him and down in the hollow at the crossroads was Jenny telling us to go up the hill. I told her she is in the wrong place until I saw the arrows. Waited for James as Alex disapeared in the distance.  Another big chase down. Saw Alex passing Tracy and Hilary when coming down into Petherton.  Challenge on again I need to show him where the finish is. Managed to catch him and straight past Sarah and down to the line. 

A very good effort by all and the team who organised. 

I see our ultra runner has some helluva pace over a short distance. Nick Sale.

Eats were enjoyed at the Brewers. I will not comment on here what I thought.
