Crewkerne to Lyme - Tim Hoyle

A group of nine CRC runners set of from the Stage Coach Inn at Misterton at 08:30 this Sunday morning. The intention being to familiarise ourselves with the route of the impending Ham to Lyme Ultra.

We set off at a steady pace. For the first two or three miles my legs felt like lead and I'm afraid I held everyone up a bit. After that the pace settled, legs warmed up, the weather improved upon what was forecast, all good!

A special mention must go to Joy as this was her greatest distance and after a recent injury this makes the achievement all the more impressive, Well done. A big thank you and well done to Darren and Andy for navigating and your impressive arsenal of mobile technology. We had no navigational hiccups over the course of the entire route !

Lyme Regis was exceptionally busy and cold. Hopefully we all enjoyed it and once the aches and pains have melted away we can look forward to the big event with confidence.
