This informal event is usually held on the first Wednesday of the month, starting and finishing near the Budgeons in Merriott.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route, as shown below, is normally run in an anticlockwise direction and is about 7.5k long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Runners are set off in order, as determined by predicted pace [fastest going last], with the aim of producing a mass finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event is open to all Crewkerne Club members and while being a very social affair it is intended to help encourage improvement in individual performance.  As an extra incentive an award is made to the first finisher, irrespective of their start and overall race time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Runners should gather in Moorlands Road by 18:20hrs to register their presence and suggested race time.  The Organiser may accept that time or, after some good natured banter, adjust it accordingly to set an actual start time.  Runners will then set off in the determined order with the last person usually away before 18:30hrs.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
