Crewkerne Running Club is a small friendly club catering for all abilities of runners wishing to run on or off road.
The Club is Affiliated to Association of Running Clubs (ARC) and UK Athletics (England Athletics). This means the club has signed up to the rules and policies of these governing bodies and is striving to meet the revised EA Club standards recommendations. The Club currently only accepts member 18+ in age.
The club has UKA (EA) recognised Leader in running fitness and Coaching in Running fitness trainers. Our Coach is now making specific training available on club nights. Another Couch to 5K course in scheduled to start in September.
Organised runs leave from the George Reynolds Centre in Crewkerne on the following days
Tuesday | 6:30 PM | Fast and slower groups, road and off road available. Training sessions for all abilities. |
Thursday | 6:30 PM | Social run. Fast and slower groups, road and off road available. |
Sunday | 8:30 AM | Slower pace generally off road. |

This Thursday is Pub Run at the Pymore Inn, Bridport DT8 5PN. Meeting at 6.15pm to order food before running at 6.30pm. Don’t forget hi-viz and headtorches. Runs will be predominantly on-road.
From now on club runs will be on road. Please wear appropriate hi-viz and in the coming weeks head torches.
At Wednesday’s Committee meeting we discussed the lower turnout of runners on Tuesdays evenings compared to Thursday. Several people have mentioned that they are unable to start at 6pm due to work. We have decided to change the start time to 6.30pm. Hopefully this will allow more members to attend.
Tonight’s handicap produced some more great performances. Congratulations to Andy Dickinson who finished out in front with his quickest time of the year.
