The poor weather didn’t prevent some great performances at tonight’s Spring Handicap. Congratulations to Dave Rowe who ran a great race to win the trophy. In second place was Downhill Dave Carnell who ran a minute ahead of his predicted time. In third place was Tony Strugnell who followed a great run at Frogmary on Saturday with his fastest handicap time in the last year. Kudos to all the runners who took part despite the weather. A special thanks to Clive who marked out the route, to Ben for double checking it this evening, to Andy Dickinson for pointing the runners in the right direction out of South Petherton and to Stuart for holding my umbrella and assisting at the finish. Tracy and Caroline came along for a training run and joined some of us for a lovely meal and chat at the Brewer’s Arms. Hope to see you all again at next month’s Merriott handicap.
